Bobbie & Rob’s Wedding at Oaks Farm

Now when I tell you that you couldn’t find a cuter couple than Bobbie & Rob, I’m really not lying! From the moment that I met these two, I totally felt that I was in the presence of a couple truly in love. I know I know, total cheesy comment from me, but it’s true! We sat down and discussed their wedding day, and before we knew it, we were bonding over our love for the Shagged, Married, Annoyed podcast. (If you haven’t listened to it, you’re missing out! Be warned though, you need a twisted sense of humour to enjoy it!)

This was my first time at Oaks Farm, and boy oh boy, this venue did not disappoint! Oaks Farm is tucked away. I really mean tucked away. You’re driving down the main road and if you blink, you’ll miss the turning! But once you drive down the little country road, you’re met with this gorgeous almost oasis of a venue. The ceremony room is to die for! White with wooden benches and so much light! Don’t even get me started on the prep room. Actually, it was a house. You have a whole house to get ready in! Seriously, go and Google the venue. Be amazed!

I don’t think that the day could’ve gone any more perfectly. Everything ran on time, the weather was beautiful and there were happy tears all around.

One piece of advice that I did learn at this wedding though, is be weary of what sleeves you have on your wedding dress. As you can see from the photos, Bobbie’s sleeves miraculously disappear. They were detachable. But she did find that the sleeves were irritating her arms. So a word of warning to you future brides. If you’re having sleeves on your dress, practice wearing your dress for longer than 30 minutes. Get used to them to see if they irritate or not. Or do as Bobbie did, and get detachable ones. Best idea ever!

Best wishes, warmest regards.

xx
