information:
Newborns are best photographed when they are less than 14 days old. The perfect time is 7/8 days. At this age, newborns are more flexible and sleepy which makes it much easier to pose them in those cute curled up positions you see.
Photographing newborns takes time. (Hence why the shoots are long). Baby's safety is the number one priority so posing them cannot be rushed. If the baby doesn't want to pose just yet, we have to be patient, wait for them to get comfortable and then get them into a pose. This can take up to 30 minutes per pose.
If you still haven't had your baby by your due date, keep me informed. I always try and keep free time around newborn shoots incase this happens and we have to reschedule.
We would highly recommend Helen to anyone and we will definitely be using her again in the future.
