I know I’ve left it too long since my last blog post. Things have been crazy this end, both good and bad! I’ll start with the bad, which really isn’t as horrible as I’m making it sound! If you followed along on my Instagram stories, you’d have seen the technical horror I went through with my computer. And the worst thing about it was, it was smack bang in the middle of a rush of Doorstep shoots! Typical right?!
But luckily, after nearly two weeks of a life without my beloved computer, it was fixed! All hail Apple Care! (That would’ve been a huge chunk taken out of my bank account otherwise!) And double luckily, my Doorstep clients were 100% understanding which lifted a HUGE weight off of my shoulders! This was also the reason why I haven’t blogged for a hella long time. It was a lot harder than I thought to write an entire blog on an iPad, so I gave up and didn’t bother!
Now onto the happier stuff! For the first time in months, I’ve finally been out and about doing portrait sessions, wedding enquiries and venue visits! It’s been bloody fantastic! After months of not even holding my camera (just ask the layer of dirt that was on it!) to now be doing weekly shoots, things finally are looking gooooood again.
The demand for the Doorstep shoots went beyond my expectations and they were such great fun! They had to come to an end at some point, but they were brilliant while they lasted. And I got to meet some lovely new families and couples in the process!
Now that the Doorstep Shoots are over, it doesn’t mean that I am no longer offering portrait sessions. In fact, it’s quite the opposite! I’ve happily opened up Portrait Sessions again! Yipee! Doing all of these shoots has made me realise how much I miss mini sessions. Don’t worry, I’m still a full blown wedding photographer! But for those weekdays or weekends that I’m not booked in for a wedding, I’ll be opening up my diary for sessions instead! Which you can find over on my site right here.
