I’ve lost count of the times I’ve captured a wedding at the Manor of Groves now, but no matter how many times I come back, it’s always an amazing time!!
I remember when Victoria & Luke first enquired me about photographing their wedding. I was told “it’s going to be a really small wedding, like 15 people, including us and the kids!” It’s quite often to forget how nice it is to capture an intimate wedding. With all the hustle and bustle of the larger weddings, capturing one that doesn’t involve me chasing after groomsmen at the bar or running behind because there were 8 bridesmaids to get ready, it’s a breath of fresh air feeling so relaxed on a wedding day.
During the bridal prep, Victoria was reminiscing about how her and Luke first met, and it’s literally something out of an American RomCom! They first met in school, dated for a while, then went their separate ways. Luke went off travelling and Victoria started a life of her own. Years later she was forced to join the world of Facebook, and who adds her a few days later? Yes, our handsome groom Luke! I think you can guess what happened after that, as here we were, on their wedding day. The teenage romance we all longed for growing up, and Victoria and Luke were living it!
The weather held out for the big day, Victoria wore a dress that made her look like a Vogue model (thank you Enchanted Bridal Boutique) and the day went perfectly!
