My first wedding of 2024 and this wedding season couldn’t have kicked off better than by being back at Tewinbury Farm for Saskia & Jason’s wedding. You other wedding photographer’s know that feeling!
Now despite the fact that we pretty much had all four seasons in one day, it was perfect. Saskia and Jason chose to have a small wedding of 35 guests during the day, which meant my job was made a lot easier when it came time for the shot list! Jokes aside though, intimate weddings are becoming increasingly popular now. It makes the guest list easier as you invite only your nearest and dearest. Intimate weddings are a way of keeping your costs down. And also there is less stress for the couple as large weddings can be so overwhelming.
One of the personal touches of their wedding that I loved was that they had Jason’s mum, Suzanne, officiate the ceremony. Shoutout to Ceremonies with Suzanne. I couldn’t think of anything lovelier than having your own mum marry you. She did a fantastic job so if any of you are looking for a celebrant, Suzanne’s your woman!
Tewinbury Farm as a venue, I could not recommend more if I tried! I’ve attended to this venue as both a vendor and a guest and have been treated so lovely both times. As a guest, my partner and I both stayed the night and their rooms are amazing! As a vendor, the staff treated me as they would anyone else, and the food, boy oh boy the food was amazing! (We all know food is the way to my heart, and these guys have stolen mine!) For anyone looking for a barn venue in Hertford, make this one of the venues you consider!
I have a bunch load of photos to go through from Saskia and Jason’s wedding, so here’s some sneak peeks for you all for now!
xx
Thank you so much for your kind words, Helen! It was an absolute pleasure to be another supplier working alongside you at the beautiful Tewinbury Farm. The fact that it was my son’s wedding really was the icing on the cake! X
