When I tell you that this was my dream wedding, IT WAS MY DREAM WEDDING!! Why? Because not only were Emma & Bradley getting married at Swynford Manor, a venue that has been on my bucket list for a while now, but they brought their dog Daisy to the wedding!!! (And obviously she was the goodest doggy ever and totally stole their thunder!) and, it was black & white theme!!! I LOOOOVE me a black and white wedding!!

I remember the day that I received Emma & Bradley’s enquiry form. Have you ever seen that video of two women in their shop, and after the customer has purchased something and left, they do a little happy dance? That. That is exactly what happened when I opened the email that said these two wanted to book me for their wedding. It really is not a made up story that when a small business sells a product/ gets a booking we do a tiny celebration dance. It really does mean the world to us!

Anyhoo, back to the wedding. Swynford manor is one of those venues that just has it all. Secluded (but still close enough to civilisation). It’s picturesque. So beautifully and tastefully decorated. The staff are just the best! Honestly, there’s nothing that a photographer could love more on a wedding day than a venue with helpful staff!!

Emma & Bradley were the definition of a relaxed couple. Probably because they (more so Emma!) had everything planned perfectly, and obviously had picked a team of vendors who they knew they could trust! Emma even bought her own mannequin to hang her dress on during the bridal prep. That was a first for me and I’m totally onboard with brides doing this from now on.

Top tip for when you’re announced into the room for the sit down meal. Whoever is announcing you in, get them to tell your guests to grab their napkins and wave them around for your entrance. I see this at a lot of weddings and it’s such a good idea as it creates such an exciting mood in the photos! Way better than just the standard clapping!
