Remembering your pets
To kick off my 6 ways to personalise your wedding day, we’ll start with my all time favourite! I know a lot of wedding venues might now allow pets at your wedding, or if they do, some couples choose not to have them there as it can be a manic day for our fur babies. So one thing you can do to make sure that they’re still included is to have them represented on the day.

Decor
Let your personalities shine through your decor. Wether it’s your favourite colour, or your love for musicals or the places you’ve travelled to. This can be shown in your centre pieces, table numbers or even which flowers you have.

Personalised Vows
I absolutely love it when couples write their own vows. Honestly, it gets a little “samey” when couples just choose to say the standard vows that registrars provide. Writing your own vows means that you get to say things that only apply to you both and your relationship. If you’re not the lovey type then you can choose to say something funny. Or perhaps you’d just like to talk about the things you’ve both done or places you plan to go. The vows are the perfect way to make it about the two of you!

Your Cake
If you’ve chosen to not go for too much decor on your day, personalising your cake is a great subtle way to let your personalities shine through. This can be done with how the cake is decorated or by perhaps choosing YOUR favourite flavours.

Wedding Newspaper
This idea is one that I absolutely love!! Emma & Bradley’s wedding was the first wedding I did when I came across this. I was absolutely head over heels for this idea. Not only is this a great way of letting your guests know the timeline for the day, it’s also a fantastic way of giving your guests fun facts and memories about your relationship. It’s also a little something to entertain your guests whilst they’re waiting for the ceremony to begin!

Favours
At the time of writing this, there is a bit or uncertainty if favours are a waste of money or not. I say if you can afford to do them, then why not. But don’t break the bank paying for favours that you’re not overly thrilled about. I’ve seen some amazing favours like a mini plant for everyone, and I’ve seen some like a tiny bag of sweets that no one would really miss if it wasn’t there. At the end of the day, it solely comes down to your preference.
